HILLSBORO, Kan. – Hillsboro Community Foundation executive director, Cynthia Fleming, presented a check for $1,500 to Tabor College for the Signature Campaign for the Center for the Arts.
“We know the new Center for the Arts will bring the community together and will enrich the quality of life for the entire Hillsboro community,” said Fleming. “We are thrilled to provide continued support to the Signature campaign.”
The grant from the Foundation is made possible by the Hillsboro Area Impact Fund. The fund, established to enhance quality of life for all Hillsboro area residents, is awarded once a year.
“The Foundation’s gift comes at a very critical time for us and reaffirms the commitment of the Hillsboro community to the ongoing successes of Tabor College,” said Ron Braun, vice president for advancement at Tabor.
Tabor College President Jules Glanzer was on site to receive the check from Fleming during a grant reception Tuesday evening.
“This is another example of the community working together,” said Glanzer. “We appreciate so much the support of the community. The more we can unite and work together, the stronger our community becomes and the better the overall quality of life. We are honored to receive this gift for the Shari Flaming Center for the Arts.”
